Data Transparency

Overview

This platform aggregates foreign exchange (FX) and macroeconomic data from a range of third-party providers and publicly available sources. Our goal is to present accurate, timely, and transparent information to support the analysis and research of currency pairs.

While we strive for accuracy, all data is provided for informational purposes only and may be subject to delays, revisions, or discrepancies depending on the underlying source.

Data Sources

Institutional Positioning Data

  • Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)

    • Dataset: Commitments of Traders (CoT)

    • Usage: Analysis of institutional and “smart money” positioning in currency futures markets

    • Frequency: Weekly

Macroeconomic & Fundamental Data

Macroeconomic indicators are compiled from the following sources:

Fundamental scoring is calculated using inputs from the above-listed sources, outputted as a score between -5 and 5 based on its current implication for the respective currency.

  • Frequency - as released by the above sources

Important:
Due to the standardized and widely published nature of economic data, the platform may use multiple sources for the same indicator over time. While values are cross-checked where possible, the underlying source may vary depending on availability, revisions, and updates.

Technical Indicators

All technical indicators including Relative Strength Index, price projections and key levels have been derived from price on a proprietary basis. Our technical indicators are developed as quantitative models and should not be interpreted as guarantees.

  • Frequency - daily

Methodology

Data Processing

  • Data is collected from the sources listed and normalised for consistency

  • Where applicable, datasets are cleaned and aligned across timeframes

  • Missing values may be interpolated or excluded depending on context

FX Price Data

  • Currency pairs are displayed using available direct rates where possible

  • Cross rates may be derived using standard triangulation methods (typically via USD)

Positioning Analysis

  • Commitment of Traders data is processed to isolate non-commercial positioning as a proxy for institutional sentiment

  • Derived indicators may include net positioning, positioning extremes, and momentum shifts

Forecasting Models

  • Proprietary models may use historical FX price data and macroeconomic inputs

  • Outputs are statistical estimates and not guaranteed predictions

Proprietary Methodology

The Analysis+ dashboard combines publicly available data with proprietary scoring systems and analytical models developed and maintained by BW Capital Partners. While the underlying data is received from official sources, the presentation, scoring and synthesis are intellectual property.

AI Commentary

Artificial intelligence is used on this website solely to transform structured quantitative data into a concise written commentary. Artificial intelligence used on this website does not fetch data or invent statistics, it is used solely to summarise datasets already presented on the Analysis+ dashboard. All AI commentary is generated from structured numerical inputs produced by Analysis+.

Limitations

  • Data may occasionally be revised by the original source

  • Release schedules may differ between countries

  • Temporary delays may occur following official data releases

  • Historical data may be revised without notice by the originating statistical agency

Analysis Independence

Neither BW Capital Partners or Analysis+ receive compensation from brokers, financial institutions or data providers in exchange for favourable analysis or recommendations. All analysis is produced independently using publicly available data and/or proprietary quantitative models.
